The time has come for the biggest festival in Kerala Thrissur Pooram 2023. The 2023 Thrissur Pooram will be held on 30th April 2023. This year’s Pooram will take place in a grand and proud manner without any restrictions. Around 15 lakh people are expected to attend the 2023 Thrissur Pooram. This is the most well-known and largest of all poorams.
Thrissur Pooram 2023
Minister K Radhakrishnan said that year’s program will be held without cany restrictions. Due to the pandemic, Pooram was not possible to be performed in the past two years. The Minster also said to ensure self-protection including mask and sanitizer for pooram. The Minister told the Thiruvambadi and Paramekavu temples that the government will extend all possible to make the 2023 Thrissur Pooram a success without any disputes.
One of the main attractions of the Thrissur Pooram is the Fireworks (vedikettu). This year the vedikkettu will be also held without any restrictions. The Thrissur Pooram main fireworks are well-known all over the country. This spectacular display of fireworks takes place in Thekkinkadu Maidanam, the heart of Thrissur. This event features the major participants, Thiruvambadi & Parmekavu. The main fireworks start in the early hours of the morning. The Sample Vedikettu will take place 2 days before the pooram. Another important event that takes place during the pooram is the Thrissur Pooram Exhibition.
The Thrissur Pooram 2023 exhibition details have been announced and it will be started on 31st march and end on 22nd May. Minister K Radhakrishnan has inaugurated the 2022 Thrissur pooram Exhibition. There are a total of 180 pavillions in this year’s exhibition. It ended on May 23. Following the covid expansion, the Pooram exhibition ended last year just days after it was launched.
