The 2022 Ballon d’Or Ceremony will take place on 17th October at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris. The nominee’s list fo the Ballon d’Or 2022 was announced on 12th August 2022. A total of 30 players are in the men’s Ballon d’Or 2022 and there are 20 players in the Women’s Ballon d’Or 2022.

Seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi is not among the 30 players nominated for the prestigious award for the first time since 2005. The legendary Argentine footballer won the award last year by defeating Poland’s Robert Lewandowski. He did not receive a nomination this time due to his average performance in the first season with Paris Saint-Germain.
The award ceremony will begin at 6.30 PM GMT (12 AM IST) and ends at 8 PM GMT (1:30 AM IST) on October 17th. The audience can watch the show online through L’Equipe’s YouTube channel and also through eh SonyLive OTT Platform. The event will be telecast on Sony Ten 2 Channel.
